    Drew’s Thursday Picks

    11-18-2025

On Thursday, November 20th at 7:15 p.m. (CST), Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills (7-3) travel to Houston to take on Davis Mills and the Houston Texans (5-5) at NRG Stadium.

Lets start with a recap of the previous games for these two teams:

The last outing for the Bills had them matched up against Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers, to which both teams were 6-3, and were looking for a big win.

This game went on to be by #1 nominee for game of the year. While it was not a shootout from both teams, it was a massive scoring affair with the lead shifting back and forth until the 4th quarter.

Josh Allen finished the night going 19-30 with 317 Yds, 3 rushing TDs, 3 passing TDs, and 2 Ints, leading the bills to a 44-32 win.

The Houston Texans last outing was not as pretty of a win, but a win none the less.

With Davis Mills leading the charge with CJ Shroud on concussion protocol they traveled to Nashville to take on the Cam Ward and the Tennessee Titans.

The Texans defense held Tennessee to 13 points on the night with 229 yards of total offense and 4 yards per play. While this may sounds impressive, the titans are last in the league for points scored and yards per game.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Texans scored under 20 points for the 6th time this season with this being the first win while scoring this low.

Below are my personal picks for this Week 12 Thursday night matchup:

    O/U set at 43.5

    Bills: Spread -5.5 money: -255

    Player Props:

Josh Allen under 224.5: he has been held under this mark in half of his games this season and faces the #1 defense in the league and #3 in passing defense. While this does have the possibility to go the other if the Texans offense gets moving, this game could pose to be low scoring.

James Cook III over 93.5 rushing and receiving: hitting this mark in the past 3 of 5 games I believe Allen will targeting him more for short yard distance against a defense that may shut down the run.

Anytime TD scorers (possibilities)(take your pick): These three are who I believe to be the most likely to score a touchdown:

    Josh Allen: Anytime -120

    Tyrell Shavers: Anytime +550

    James Cook: Anytime -115

    Texans: Spread +5.5 money: +210

    Player Props:

Davis Mills under 210.5: Houston’s offense faces the #2 passing defense in the league with a backup quarterback who was held to only 137 yards against a top 10 passing defense in the league

Woody Marks over 63.5: He has not hit this mark in his last 5 games, but now faces the 31st running defense in the league. Bills allow 153 yards per game, splitting the backfield with Nick Chubb, it is possible he hits his over as well set at 20.5

Anytime TD scorers (possibilities)(take your pick): These three are who I believe to be the most likely to score a touchdown:

    Woody Marks: Anytime +125

    Jayden Higgins: Anytime +500

    Davis Mills: Anytime +1200

Updates will be available on Friday night on whether or not these props came into fruition.

Shift of focus for the Tigers

    11-18-2025

On Saturday, November 15th, the LSU tigers won a tough fought battle against the Arkansas Razorbacks 23-22.

This win comes at a crucial time as the Tigers switch the outlook of their season from a championship berth to a bowl appearance and win.

This shift comes after firing of Head Coach Brian Kelly amid a tough loss to an undefeated Texas A&M squad 49-25 as well as failed expectations and hopes put upon this team during the offseason.

The hype around LSU was spearheaded by hopes of an undefeated season, CFB championship, and senior quarterback bringing the Heisman back to the Boot, but as the season unfolded the tide shifted.

There has been plenty movement for the LSU football team in the last month regarding both the player and staffing side of the ball.

Staffing changes have included the firing of Head Coach Brian Kelly, leading to associate Head Coach Frank Wilson taking over as interim during what has become a push for Lane Kiffin.

The athletic director position has seen changes as well with the firing of Scott Woodward and the naming of his successor in Verge Ausberry.

On the player side, Michael Van Buren Jr. has begun to see an influx in reps with the appointment of Frank Wilson, leading to the vacation of his red-shirt after a start against Arkansas.

Staying on the offensive side, Harlem Berry has begun to see an increased amount of carries in the ground game, and has begun to show the boot why he was recruited in the first place, and what the future may hold.

These two young talents come at a hopeful time as the tigers looked to bounce back in a game against Arkansas, after 3 ranked losses in a row, in hopes to win out the rest of their season and clinch a bowl win.

Even with changes currently underway, this tigers football team needs to find a new identity for themselves during the postseason in order to bring themselves back to the top of the SEC.

With an 0-6 start to the season the New Orleans Pelican’s are looking to bounce back early.

From Zion Williamson looking as healthy as we have seen since college, to the addition of rookie Jeremiah Fears, the hype and the expectations surrounding the team in the Big Easy was real this offseason.

With half of these losses have come from teams still riding championship and playoff high, the other half come from a 6 point or less loss.

Against high caliber teams the Pelicans are struggling to shoot an effective clip and hold their own on defense. However, on terms of teams on the same level or slightly higher, they are beginning to prove they may be able to hold their own.

While a clear identity still needs to be established before a conversation such as playoffs can begin to be brought up, the hope in New Orleans can still stay alive this season once this teams learns to operate as a functional unit and capitalize.

  • Dodgers do it again!

    Dodgers do it again!

    By: Andrew DaBella

The Los Angeles Dodgers have become the first team in the 21st century to become back to back World Champions, bringing home their second straight World Series Title in an 11 inning game 7 stretching on into the midnight hours of November 1st.

The last team to have back-to-back World Series wins was the New York Yankees from from 1998-2000 at the start of the century.

With the game tied going into the top of the 8th, Blue Jay fans were getting ready to celebrate their first World Series win in over 25 years, and the excitement could be seen around the stadium as fans were ready to jump out of their seats.

The excited was then sucked out when Max Muncy came up to the plate and delivered a home run to the right side to bring the Dodgers within one score.

The rest of the inning stayed scoreless for the Dodgers, leading to continued hope for the Blue Jays, but a scoreless inning for Toronto in the bottom of the inning allowed hope to stay for the Dodgers.

Now in the top of the 9th, Hernandez would strike out swinging, and Rojas would be up to bat next. 6 pitches would then go by, leading to a loaded count with one out and no runners on base.

Then, in a moment of pure determination, Danny Rojas would smack a home run down the left side to tie the game for the dodgers, making the last 2 runs for L.A. homers over 370 feet. The inning would then end with the next 2 batters either fielding, or striking out.

Blue Jays now looked to ice the game in the bottom of the 9th. Four batters later, bases are loaded. Varsho would then come up to the plate looking to leave it with a title.

Varsho would take a ball, then two strikes before connecting with a splitter in the left corner that allows Kiner-Falefa to make a run for home plate, and just as it looks like the Blue Jays have it set, the ball is thrown from second base to Will Smith where he stretches out for the catch to get Kiner-Falafa out at home plate, saving the dodgers hope for a repeat.

Now in another game filled with extra innings the question to be asked was, will this be a game 3 repeat.

The tenth inning would leave 3 runners on base for the Dodgers, and none for the Blue Jays as each team looks to find the end to what has been a historic World Series.

Going into the top of the 11th, the Dodger could not make the same mistakes they did in the 10th, and were looking to take the trophy for a second time. Rojas and Ohtani would both see the plate where they would both ground out. Third up, Will Smith.

After a heroic save in the bottom of the 9th, Smith is given a chance to take the lead for his team. He would start with a 2-0 count and just as it starts to look as if he will be unintentionally walked, he smacks the third home run in a row for the Dodgers to give them the lead.

Bottom of the 11th, all L.A. needed was 3 outs and no score. Guerrero Jr. up first to bat and he doubles to left, then Kiner-Falafa with a sacrifice bunt to send Guerrero Jr. to third, prime position to tie the game. Next at bat, Barger would be walked with four straight balls, leading to runners are third and first.

Fans of both teams now antsy to see how this game will play out, Kirk comes up to the plate, only one out, runner in scoring position. First pitch would be a strike foul, with the second being a strike by Yamamoto. Third pitch, Kirk connects with a ground out, and a double play to second would end the game and send the trophy back to Los Angeles.

  • Blue Jays force Game 6 in Upsetting Fashion

Blue Jays force Game 6 in Upsetting Fashion

    By: Andrew DaBella

After a 2-1 series lead taken by the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Toronto Blue Jays have begun to turn the series around, and are now looking to run away with the series after returning home.

Opening up the World Series at home on Friday October 24th, the Blue Jays hit a clinic versus the Dodgers hitting 14-6, with a final score of 11 runs to 4, allowing Toronto to take game 1.

Staying in Toronto for game 2, the Dodgers were looking to come out strong to keep the series even. The Blue Jays kept the game close, with the score even at 1 all until the top of the 7th when L.A. came out strong with 2 runs to Toronto’s 0 at the bottom, and the 8th being a repeat of the same. The final score for game 2 would be L.A. 5-1 with 6 hits to 4.

Moving to Los Angeles for game 3, the Dodgers were looking to keep the ball rolling and splitting the series in Toronto. L.A. started the game early with a run in the bottom of the 2nd and 3rd. The momentum of the game would change in the top of the fourth as Kirk would homer to center sending Guerrero Jr. and Bichette home for 3.

Later in the inning, Gimenez would hit a sacrifice fly to center, allowing Barger to score, brining the score to 4-2 in the fourth. Swinger would come up to bat next and strike out swinging.

In the bottom of the fifth the Dodgers would manage to put 2 more on the board with Ohtani hitting a double to left allowing E. Hernandez to score, then later in the inning Freeman with a single to right allowing Ohtani to score and brining the score to a tie at 4.

In the 6th, the game would stay quiet with no runs scored.

Top of the 7th, Bichette would single to right, bringing Guerrero Jr. home and the Blue Jays to 5-4.

Bottom of the 7th, Ohtani would come out swinging second at bat and hit a homer to left center to bring the game back to a tie at 5.

Starting at the top of the 8th this game would then become sort of a pitchers duel until the final run scored in the bottom of 18th.

With 11 hits recorded between the top of the 8th and the 18th each team was reaching deep into their den for relievers resulting into pitcher after pitcher for each club.

This back and forth of hits and runners left on bass ended in the bottom of the 18th with a walk-off home run to center from Freddie Freeman on the 6th pitch, bringing the series to a 2-1 Dodgers lead.

This marked the 4th walk-off home run by the Dodgers in the World Series, tying the Yankees for the most in World Series history.

This Game 3 would also tie the record for the most innings in a World Series. The last World Series game to have 18 innings also took place on Game 3 in Dodgers Stadium against the Boston Red Sox in 2018 with both games were ended by walk-off home runs by the Dodgers.

After a historic Game 3, the Dodgers were looking to keep their 2 game win streak rolling at home with Game 4.

After a scoreless first inning with one strikeout and one runner left on base for both teams combined, the Dodgers would find the board.

Top of the 2nd, 3 up and 3 down for the Blue Jays. Bottom of the 2nd for the Dodgers Muncy would walk, then take third after a single to the center by Edman, eventually getting home after a sacrifice fly to right by E. Hernandez.

Looking to answer back, the 3rd inning would swing momentum in favor of the Blue Jays. After a single to right by Lukes, Guerrero Jr would homer to left, leading to a 2-1 Blue Jays lead.

Bottom of the 3rd 4 up, 4 down for the Dodgers with Ohtani striking out swinging to lead it off.

Scoring would then stay stagnant for both teams until the Blue Jays come up to bat again at the top of the 7th.

The inning would start with Ohtani pitching, leading to a single to right by Varsho, then a double by Clement to take Varsho to third. Ohtani would then be called a designated hitter and Dreyer would take over.

Gimenez would then single to left, bringing Varsho home and Clement to third, Toronto up 3-1. Two batters later, France would ground out to second, brining Clement home and Gimenez to second, Toronto up 4-1.

Guerrero Jr would then be intentionally walked leading to runners on 1st and 2nd. Up to bat next was Bichette who singled to left leading Gimenez to score and bringin Guerrero Jr. to third, Toronto up 5-1.

Barger up to bat next, he would single to the left, leading Guerrero Jr. to score and bringing Bichette to second bringing the score to a Toronto lead of 6-1 before the end of inning of a line out to the right by Kirk.

Scoring would then stay stagnant until the bottom of the 9th when would the Dodgers would come up to bat one more time in an attempt to bring the game back to life.

The 9th would start with a walk by T. Hernandez, then a double to the right by Muncy would send Hernandez to third. With Edman up to bat next, he would ground out to third, bringing T. Hernandez home and the Toronto lead to 6-2.

With only one out on the inning the Dodgers were hopeful to bring the game back into reach but a strike out by E. Hernandez and a line-out to left by Call would end the inning and the game, leading to a split series at 2-2.

Staying in Los Angeles for Game 5, the Dodgers were hopeful to not let the series get away from them.

Pitching in the first inning , Blake Snell was looking to put the Blue Jays away.

The top of the first would start with a pair of home runs to the left with only one pitch between by Schneider and Guerrero Jr, giving the Blue Jays an early 2-0 lead.

The game would then stay run-less until the bottom of the 3rd where E. Hernandez would homer to left bringing the Toronto lead to 2-1.

Hitting in the top of the 4th, Varsho would triple for the Blue Jays, which would be followed by sacrifice fly to center by Clement brining Varsho home for a 3-1 lead. The next batter would walk, with the next 2 striking out swinging.

The game would once again go run-less until the top of the 7th when the Blue Jays would come up to bat again. Snell would be subbed out for E. Henriquez who would take over with a runner on first and third. On third, Barger would go home off a wild pitch by Henriquez, then Guerrero Jr. would be walked, bringing Gimenez to second and the score to 4-1.

Bichette up to bat next, he would hit a single to the right leading Gimenez to score, and Guerrero Jr. to third, brining the Toronto lead to 5-1. The inning would end with a fielders choice to second, and Kirk getting out a second.

The final run of the game would come in the top of the 8th with the Blue Jays up to bat again. After a single to center by Clement, a wild pith would then send him to second. Then a ground out to second, would send Clement to third. Up to bat next, Kiner-Falefa would single out to left, leading Clement to score, increasing the Toronto lead to 6-1.

The game would then go run-less until the final strikeout by T. Hernandez off the pitch by J. Hoffman.

Blue Jays now lead the series 3-2, and have a chance to bring the series to a close at home in Rogers Centre, Friday October 30th at 7 p.m. (central)

Timberwolves secure game 5 win to move onto the second round.

    By: Andrew DaBella

On Wednesday, April 30th, the Los Angeles Lakers lost game 5 of their first round match in the playoffs to the Minnesota Timberwolves by a score of 103 to 96.

Having been down 3 games to 1 on April 27th, this was a must win game for the lakers to keep the series alive.

Going into this first round of playoffs many thought Lebron and the Lakers were bound to win in 5, but Anthony Edwards, star guard for the Wolves had a personal mission to send Lebron and his Lakers on vacation.

Averaging 26.8 points per game in this series Edwards was the driving factor in the win for this series.

When asked about being physical with Lebron, Edwards said “Imma be a pest to Lebron” and that he was.

With Lebron averaging 25.4 ppg and Luke with 30.2 ppg, they were still only able to secure one win in game 2 of the series.

With this series loss many fans are speculating whether an announcement is incoming on Lebron’s retirement.

This speculation is backed by the factor of his age, while he is still dominating at an all star level at the age of 40, he is currently facing an MCL sprain that he suffered in the game 5 loss.

With the win in this series the Wolves move on to the second round, where they will face the winner of the Houston Rockets led by their young leading scorer, Jalen Green, and the Golden State Warriors led by the all time three point leader Steph Curry.
