After a 2-1 series lead taken by the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Toronto Blue Jays have begun to turn the series around, and are now looking to run away with the series after returning home.

Opening up the World Series at home on Friday October 24th, the Blue Jays hit a clinic versus the Dodgers hitting 14-6, with a final score of 11 runs to 4, allowing Toronto to take game 1.

Staying in Toronto for game 2, the Dodgers were looking to come out strong to keep the series even. The Blue Jays kept the game close, with the score even at 1 all until the top of the 7th when L.A. came out strong with 2 runs to Toronto’s 0 at the bottom, and the 8th being a repeat of the same. The final score for game 2 would be L.A. 5-1 with 6 hits to 4.

Moving to Los Angeles for game 3, the Dodgers were looking to keep the ball rolling and splitting the series in Toronto. L.A. started the game early with a run in the bottom of the 2nd and 3rd. The momentum of the game would change in the top of the fourth as Kirk would homer to center sending Guerrero Jr. and Bichette home for 3.

Later in the inning, Gimenez would hit a sacrifice fly to center, allowing Barger to score, brining the score to 4-2 in the fourth. Swinger would come up to bat next and strike out swinging.

In the bottom of the fifth the Dodgers would manage to put 2 more on the board with Ohtani hitting a double to left allowing E. Hernandez to score, then later in the inning Freeman with a single to right allowing Ohtani to score and brining the score to a tie at 4.

In the 6th, the game would stay quiet with no runs scored.

Top of the 7th, Bichette would single to right, bringing Guerrero Jr. home and the Blue Jays to 5-4.

Bottom of the 7th, Ohtani would come out swinging second at bat and hit a homer to left center to bring the game back to a tie at 5.

Starting at the top of the 8th this game would then become sort of a pitchers duel until the final run scored in the bottom of 18th.

With 11 hits recorded between the top of the 8th and the 18th each team was reaching deep into their den for relievers resulting into pitcher after pitcher for each club.

This back and forth of hits and runners left on bass ended in the bottom of the 18th with a walk-off home run to center from Freddie Freeman on the 6th pitch, bringing the series to a 2-1 Dodgers lead.

This marked the 4th walk-off home run by the Dodgers in the World Series, tying the Yankees for the most in World Series history.

This Game 3 would also tie the record for the most innings in a World Series. The last World Series game to have 18 innings also took place on Game 3 in Dodgers Stadium against the Boston Red Sox in 2018 with both games were ended by walk-off home runs by the Dodgers.

After a historic Game 3, the Dodgers were looking to keep their 2 game win streak rolling at home with Game 4.

Barger up to bat next, he would single to the left, leading Guerrero Jr. to score and bringing Bichette to second bringing the score to a Toronto lead of 6-1 before the end of inning of a line out to the right by Kirk.

Scoring would then stay stagnant until the bottom of the 9th when would the Dodgers would come up to bat one more time in an attempt to bring the game back to life.

The 9th would start with a walk by T. Hernandez, then a double to the right by Muncy would send Hernandez to third. With Edman up to bat next, he would ground out to third, bringing T. Hernandez home and the Toronto lead to 6-2.

With only one out on the inning the Dodgers were hopeful to bring the game back into reach but a strike out by E. Hernandez and a line-out to left by Call would end the inning and the game, leading to a split series at 2-2.

Staying in Los Angeles for Game 5, the Dodgers were hopeful to not let the series get away from them.

Pitching in the first inning , Blake Snell was looking to put the Blue Jays away.

The top of the first would start with a pair of home runs to the left with only one pitch between by Schneider and Guerrero Jr, giving the Blue Jays an early 2-0 lead.

The game would then stay run-less until the bottom of the 3rd where E. Hernandez would homer to left bringing the Toronto lead to 2-1.

Hitting in the top of the 4th, Varsho would triple for the Blue Jays, which would be followed by sacrifice fly to center by Clement brining Varsho home for a 3-1 lead. The next batter would walk, with the next 2 striking out swinging.

The game would once again go run-less until the top of the 7th when the Blue Jays would come up to bat again. Snell would be subbed out for E. Henriquez who would take over with a runner on first and third. On third, Barger would go home off a wild pitch by Henriquez, then Guerrero Jr. would be walked, bringing Gimenez to second and the score to 4-1.

Bichette up to bat next, he would hit a single to the right leading Gimenez to score, and Guerrero Jr. to third, brining the Toronto lead to 5-1. The inning would end with a fielders choice to second, and Kirk getting out a second.
